I took part in the 6th Greek National Symposium in Crete, in Gournes, in the small grove next to the Hersonissos Town Hall, where I carved a little girl who, climbing on a real tree, places large red wooden hearts. With this sculpture of the girl, I wanted to begin this International Artistic Movement (Gaiocardium) to send an S.O.S. for the protection of the trees in the forests that still remain… The Symposium lasted 5 days — from the tree trunk to the finished sculpture. Here you can see the cutting of the wood…

The final work, the sculpture “Cry from the Burned Forest” in reinforced concrete, has been permanently placed in front of the Hersonissos Town Hall in Crete.
