The actions of Gaiocardium are the living expression of the movement’s vision.
Every place where an action takes place becomes a new chapter in our shared journey. Through sculpture, the participation of children, collaboration with local communities and the active presence of artists, art becomes an act of offering to the Earth.
Each action is unique because it is born from the character of the place and its people. Yet they all share the same purpose: to cultivate a deeper relationship between humanity and nature and to leave behind a lasting message of love, responsibility and hope.
Below are the actions of Gaiocardium, unfolding from place to place and creating a constantly growing network of art, cooperation and environmental awareness.
Astakos – When Art Meets a Community
In May 2026, Astakos hosted the first major collective action of Gaiocardium. For four days, artists, children, teachers, volunteers and members of the local community came together to create works of art and messages of love for nature.
Three sculptures were donated to the Municipality of Xiromero, while the children’s red wooden hearts remain on the trees in the area, as a living symbol of care and hope.
Marousi – Small Hearts, Great Messages for Nature
In June 2026, Gaiocardium visited the 8th Primary School of Marousi for a special educational action dedicated to children and their relationship with nature.
The children became creators: they wrote their own messages of love and care for the Earth on wooden hearts and on “wooden pages”, creating a different kind of book of thoughts and wishes for nature.
An action where art meets education and children meet the Earth.
Cansiglio – The Heart of the Earth Travels to Italy
On June 14, 2026, Gaiocardium installed a new sculpture in the historic Cansiglio Forest in Italy, dedicated to the relationship between humanity and nature.
A child offers a red heart to the forest, while four animals of the natural world — a fox, a wild boar, a marmot and a squirrel — symbolise the interdependence of all forms of life.
With the participation of children and the local community, the installation became another milestone in the journey of “The Heart of the Earth,” connecting art, nature and people across borders.
Tambre – The Voice of Children in the Forest
A few days after the installation of the Gaiocardium artwork in the Cansiglio Forest, 18 children from the Tambre Preschool visited the sculpture, located on the grassland, right at the edge of the forest.
The children discovered the sculpture, touched it and took part in a special creative activity: they painted the red wooden hearts that had been placed along the path. The hearts became carriers of their imagination and remain at the site, like small traces of children’s joy and love for nature.
A meeting in which the children did not simply visit a work of art — they became part of it.
